How to Bypass ASM Module

In BIG-IP ASM v10.2.3 and later, the system includes two important configuration variables that help manage how the ASM module behaves:

• Bypass Upon Load (bypass_upon_load):

  • Default: Disabled. This prevents the ASM module from bypassing security policies immediately when loaded.

• Bypass Upon ASM Down (bypass_upon_asm_down):

  • Default: Disabled. This ensures that if the ASM module goes down, traffic will still be processed by the system.
